Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a branch of Chinese Medicine that can be traced back more than 2000 years. It is based on the principle that a blockage or disturbance in the flow of the body’s life energy (Qi) can lead to illness.  The aim of an acupuncture treatment is to restore and maintain the body’s physical and emotional balance. The treatment involves the insertion of very fine (hair-thin) needles into specific points on the body to regulate the flow of Qi, the body’s vital energy, stimulate a natural healing response, and promote relaxation.

Fire Cupping

When toxins or cell waste stagnate in the muscles or joints, the body has a difficult time with waste disposal and we often experience this as discomfort or pain. This kind of stagnation can occur for any number of reasons; injuries that never fully healed may create scar tissue and poor circulation in a localized area which creates site specific pain.  Cupping draws stagnant blood and other fluids that have fallen out of healthy circulation up to skin level and away from the injury so that healthy free circulation can be restored to the affected area.

Herbal Medicine

Tailored herbal prescriptions are used to elevate the healing process. Herbal tinctures or whole herbs are frequently used in the treatment of dis-ease. Tinctures can be prepared uniquely for each individual patient depending on their health concerns and goals, in a way that is safe and effective.
